Above is my updated comparison table for what I consider the better touring inflatables based on the sort of craft this website covers: longer boats with room for gear paddled solo or two-up for inshore cruising, or up to Grade 2 white water.
September 2025 and it’s still valid, all the listed IK are still sold, but I’ve added the forthcoming Gumotex Aurion and my ‘packayak’ Sigma TXL+ packraft, as I believe with its massive internal storage and 1-2 seating, it’s also an inshore touring contender.
Most are open boats which can switched between solo or tandem, and only one is a slow-drying shell & bladder (which is also a self-bailer). Loads more on everything in the book.
