Above is my slightly prematurely updated comparison table for what I consider the better touring inflatables based on the sort of boats this website covers: longer boats with room for gear paddled solo or two-up for inshore cruising, or up to Grade 2 white water.
Late summer 2026 and it’s still valid with all the listed IKs still sold, but I’ve added the Razor Kayaks R2 Ultra to go with the Gumotex Aurion single seater and my ‘packayak’ Sigma TXL+ packraft, as I believe with its massive internal storage and 1-2 seating, the packraft is an inshore touring contender.
Most are open boats which can switched between solo or tandem, and none are slow-drying shell & bladder jobbies. Loads more on everything in the book.

There are a lot of disingenuous video reviews out there – no, really! – but the one below from Equipment Guide UK is pretty good. Our man Evan got his hands on a good range of UK-sold two-seater IKs (Decathlon Itiwit excepted) from the £1750 Rush 2 right down to the crappiest vinyl Intex for less than a tenth of that price, to help you evaluate exactly what you get for your money. Many of these boats can be converted to roomy touring singles, as in my table above.
It’s actually no more than a scripted voiceover sat by a line of kayaks, mixed with some action footage from EG’s US channel which evaluated some different models. I couldn’t find any evidence in this vid or the EG website reviews that Evan actually paddled any of these two-seaters, but the script explains things like fabric, construction styles, drying times and poor bundled accessories well.
And although they actually had the kayaks at hand, there’s also no evidence they verified weights and dimensions. Very few reviewers ever do that, but if you’re looking to buy a two seater IK, I’d say this EG vid is worth 9 minutes of your time.
